Volunteers Needed for Wreath Cleanup Saturday, January 11th at 9:45 ***NOTE NEW TIME***
Join us at Fort Logan National Cemetery to help clear the Cemetery of Wreaths. Meet at the Visitor Information Center at the Sheridan Blvd. entrance (Sheridan Blvd & W Kenyon Ave) and then disperse from there. People are needed with pickup trucks (or vehicles with trailers) to roam the Cemetery who are willing to subject their truck beds to the wrath of Wreath branch needles. A tarp large enough to cover your truck bed is recommended.
If your back is up for the challenge, please bring a rake or broom with a sturdy handle to thread the wreaths on. Brooms preferred so that Wreath branch needles can be swept up if necessary. Wreaths will be collected and placed in piles along the roads in each section. Pickups will load the piles into their truck beds and transport them to dumpsters located throughout the Cemetery.
Everyone is welcome to volunteer!
