Youth Committee Header

YOU are invited to join the Youth Activities Committee. The committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6pm. Come for tacos/wings and stay for the meeting. Don’t worry, even if you can’t attend the meetings, we have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. We can add you to our email list so you stay in the know and are able to join in on volunteer opportunities.

Paint Recycling
A paint recycling drive is held every spring and fall. The drive is open to the public, donations are accepted for the Youth Committee fund. Volunteers needed, Day of event help– 2 shifts - unload cars, talk to people dropping off paint, collect donations

Youth Art Contest
Youth artists from around the Littleton area are invited to participate in a Youth Art Contest every year in May.  Prizes are awarded to youth ages 7-12 and 13-17 in fine art (drawings and paintings) and digital art (computer generated designs or digitally manipulated photographs). Looking for a Leader and promoter.

Day at the Elks Youth Event, bring your High Schooler
This event is in August during Western Welcome Week with games, cotton candy, snow cones, and more under the big tent in the parking lot.  Open to the public.

Help before, during and after the event.

  • Homework – create promotion signs
  • During event all hands-on deck to run games, engage participants in activities
  • Face painter
  • Setup and clean up

Halloween Spooktacular Party
This spooky event is for children of Elks members.  The kids take part in art activities, games, movies, and what would a Halloween event be without snacks!  This event is in the basement of the Elks Lodge in October. We are looking for Event leader – do you like Halloween, planning parties, decorating? If so, consider taking on this fun event.

Kids Activity Kits for Break Bread
The Littleton Elks Youth Activity Committee has been creating activity kits for the kids at Break Bread. Volunteers recently created 20 kits each of 4 different activities. The committee is looking for volunteers to help create and assemble the activity kits, and a volunteer to chair the program. Looking for a Coordinator – are you crafty, do you have fun ideas that engages youth minds? This might be the opportunity for you!

 

The Elks National Hoop Shoot
For over 50 years, the Hoop Shoot has been developing gritty kids. The Elks Hoop Shoot is a free throw program for youth ages 8-13. For more information https://www.elks.org/hoopshoot/about.cfm

We are looking for a Leader, Helpers during event, Administrator. Don't be shy, there is plenty of material describing how the event runs.

 

Bring your ideas and enthusiasm and let’s see what else we can do to give the kiddos q fun, safe and positive environment. Please reach out for any reason, happy to help.
