Colorado Elks Unite to Provide Meal for the 244th Engineering Battalion

Funded by the Colorado Elks Association, on Saturday, May 16th Littleton Elks from the Veterans and Americanism committees joined with Idaho Springs Elks to provide a BBQ luncheon for the 244th Engineering Battalion and their families.

The 244th Engineer Battalion is a U.S. Army Reserve unit headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Operating under the motto “Construction Conquers,” the battalion is composed of both vertical and horizontal construction engineering companies that handle bridge-building, route clearance, obstacle reduction, and humanitarian disaster relief. They are an army reserve unit that will be called up by the end of the
year.

Elks all across the nation are dedicated to not only our veterans but our active-duty, national guard and the reserves. We were proud to honor this very grateful military group.
